New for 2009, Larry's is now offering kayaks, kayak accessories and guide services. Kayaks will be fishing style kayaks, bought and rigged through "Bassyaks", a top of the line company out of Connecticut. Kayaks are mostly Malibukayak. Their X-factor is a hardcore fishing platform. Jeff Komarinetz - Started fishing the vineyard 25 years ago, primarily focusing on surfcasting. He loved it here so much that he moved here for good. That was 11 years ago, and that is when Jeff took up kayak fishing. Jeff was frustrated by the limited shore access to good fishing spots he encountered while surfcasting. In a kayak he has access to all of the islands hottest and under fished hot spots that were "off limits" to those that did not have a boat. Jeff fishes a couple different "BASSYAKS": a motorized kayak that is a fully rigged fishing machine, and several other ocean kayaks. He can choose and pick which one for the different fishing conditions. He can chase Scup, Fluke, False Albacore, Bonito, Bluefish and especially BIG BASS!!! The Stripers are not safe from his guided trips. The knowledge that Jeff has gained in the past eleven years helped him win 1st place in the Larry's Tackle Shop 2008 Octoberfish in the overall boat category competing against the big boats!
